Preparation for the Precise Parasite Test

Our test seems to find more parasites than competing tests. Part of why we find more parasites is how our patients prepare for the parasite test.

Why Pre-test Helps You

Some substances may cause parasites to become less detectable. So by following our test prep, you will have far fewer false negatives.

Also, by following our test prep, you can maximize your confidence that a negative result is a true negative (and not a false negative).

Should You Always 100% Rigidly Follow Our Test Prep?

If possible, please follow the test preparation to the letter. But, sometimes people are taking prescription drugs, and they shouldn’t stop taking those drugs without explicit permission from their doctor.

Other times, quality of life can be seriously degraded without taking certain supplements. If you want to make an exception, please email support@parasites.org. It’s not a deal breaker, and the test can still be useful, but we may have to make some compromises. Please note deviations on your requisition form as well, so we understand the full context of the samples.

Just making sure none of these will effect the test
    Vitamin d3+k2
    Coq10
    Chromium picolinate
    Dandelion root
    Vitamin c
    Citrus bergamot

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

Hi Amy! Those substances will not affect the test results.

  2. Jason Freilich says:

Hello just verifying if nasal antibiotics that are sprayed using a neilmed would affect the test? Also if Manuka honey would which has natural antibiotic properties

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

Those both won’t compromise the test results.

  3. Allison P. says:

Does Swedish Bitters and Cilantro Heavy Metal Detox interfere with test?

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

Organic Cilantro / Organic Chlorella are both fine. Swedish Bitters are fine as well.

  4. Allison P says:

    Thank you, Evan!

  5. Janis W says:

    Will Cascara Sagrada effect test?

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

Yes, I believe it would. If it’s being taken as a laxative, then Miralax would have no effect on the test results. Milk of magnesia is also okay, but note on your requisition form that you are taking it. Please email me support@parasites.org if want to discuss this further.

  6. Dale says:

    What about yogurt
I eat a-lot of greek yogurt

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

If possible, I would stay off it for a few weeks to maximize the accuracy.

  7. Jim says:

By “binder”, are we saying something like Metamucil?

    1. cropped-evan-jerkunica.webp Evan says:

      Hi Jim,

Fiber is fine. A binder is something like activated charcoal or bentonite clay.

  8. LADONIA CARLSON-GREER says:

How about Grapefruit seed extract for dental cleaning and in water.

    1. Dental cleaning should be fine, but if you’re drinking multiple drops of GSE in water per day, then you’re going to want to abstain from that for 2 weeks prior to taking samples, and while taking samples.
