How to Get Rid of Parasites, Part 2: Preparation
As I mentioned in part one of my “How To Get Rid of Parasites” series, here are the 5 steps I took to make my cleanse work:
- I checked with my medical team to see if I could do a cleanse.
- I addressed stressors (mental, physical, emotional).
- I took actions that increased my natural immunity.
- I starved the bacteria & candida.
- I took herbs + biofilm disruptors.
Today, let’s go over Steps 1 and 2: Preparing for the cleanse.
Step 1: I Checked With My Medical Team if I Could Do a Cleanse
To ensure that you won’t cause harm, you can share your cleanse plan with your medical team and ask if they spot anything dangerous.
I always approach doctors with a humble attitude and ask, ‘Hey, I know this is not a typical medical plan, but would you mind helping me make sure that I don’t hurt myself?
Even though herbs and restrictive diets are all-natural, there are medical conditions that can make them dangerous.
For instance, I recently learned that if someone has occult blood show up in their stool, they should avoid using wormwood, a common anti-parasitic herb known for its blood-thinning properties. Taking wormwood could increase the risk of intestinal bleeding, potentially reaching dangerous levels.
Furthermore, things like cancer, gastritis, stomach ulcers, and ulcerative colitis need to be considered before going on a cleanse…or the cleanse needs to be modified into a much gentler version to avoid problems!
Lastly, cleansing during pregnancy or while breastfeeding should not be attempted unless closely supervised by a medical doctor.
So that’s why I first checked with my medical team before starting a cleanse!
Step 2: I Addressed Stressors (Mental, Physical, Emotional)
To prepare for my cleanse, I had to check that I didn’t have any stressors that needed working on.
People should assess their stressors for 2 reasons:
- Someone’s immune system may be suppressed due to the stress, making a successful cleanse less likely.
- Sometimes addressing the stressor will make someone feel much better, to the point that they may not need to do the cleanse.
Here are examples of things that may need to be addressed before going on cleanse:
- Black mold in the home
- Too stressful of a lifestyle (e.g., too much work, not enough sleep, partying too much, a diet that doesn’t work for you)
- In the middle of, or right after a divorce
- A new child in the home!
- Grieving
If there’s a lightning storm, it’s a bad time to climb a mountain… in the same way, it’s not always the right time to cleanse! And it may make sense to wait until the storm passes and to start the cleanse then.
Well, that covers the two preparation steps for cleansing!
In my next few posts, I talk about steps 3, 4, and 5 in the parasite/bacteria/fungi cleanse process:
- I checked with my medical team to see if I could do a cleanse.
- I addressed stressors (mental, physical, emotional).
- I took actions that increased my natural immunity.
- I starved the bacteria & candida.
- I took herbs + biofilm disruptors
